I just keep asking myself is there a god? Could there possibly be a divine power that is looking down over this whole universe and making sure that every thing is on track? All the mess and all the suffering, it’s not like it is new, I mean if there was a god that has power over all things and he did send his only son to save us and give us a ticket to eternal life, then surely he would try again, surely he would give us some more signs, surely the world is now in such a pickle that he will be forced to take action. Is there a god? And if there is why doesn’t he act? Is god a conscious person like us or could he be the law of physics like Steven Hawking said. Is god just some earthly force who isn’t looking over our plight trying to figure out how to help us. Are we just going to be like the dinosaurs and be fossils for the next conscious species on this planet to discover and study?

What is the meaning of life? When I look out my kitchen window I think to myself, there must be so much meaning in life that we just don’t see. We spend all day hustling and bustling about. Catching trains and buses, reading the sport, doing the crossword, gossiping with friends. Rarely do we stop and look out and see a butterfly spreading pollen about the place so that plants continue to grow and thrive. The sun bursting through the clouds providing us with the vitamins we need to live. Little bits of nature all around us every day doing extraordinary things so that there might be meaning in life. It’s such a shame that we spend most of our time trampling all over it. We are such an insensitive lot. We build big ugly houses over whole ecosystems, wiping them out in seconds. We sit inside watching TV when there is so much to watch outside. Where is the meaning in that?
